The permanent exhibition of Christmas ornaments 'World of Wonders' has been expanded with the results of the 2nd International Christmas Ornament Symposium on the occasion of the International Glass and Jewellery Triennial Jablonec 2026. The new section showcases designer ornaments created through collaboration between manufacturers and designers.

About the venue: Státní muzeum skla a bižuterie v Jablonci nad Nisou

The State Museum of Glass and Costume Jewellery, founded in 1904, is the only museum in the world combining both fields under one roof. It occupies an Art Nouveau building - the former Zimmer & Schmidt export house, listed as a cultural monument - and holds over 12 million items, including the second largest glass collection in the Czech Republic and the world's largest public collection of glass Christmas ornaments. Three permanent exhibitions run alongside changing displays, and a striking glass extension shaped like a cut crystal was added in 2020.
