Alexander Megos: The Dirtbag Past

As part of Patagonia Days at the Rock Point Havlíčkova store in Prague, professional climber Alexander Megos will give a lecture titled "The Dirtbag Past". Alex Megos – a German professional sport climber, two-time Olympian, and the first person in the world to climb a route of grade 9a in onsight style (2013) – will share his story from the early days of his climbing career: low-budget expeditions from the time when he had just finished his studies and wasn't yet earning money from climbing.

- Autograph session takes place in the store before the lecture.
- 18:00–20:00 Patagonia brand presentation and Alexander Megos's lecture (in English).

Entry to the lecture costs 100 CZK; proceeds will go towards purchasing anchor bolts for securing climbing areas. Registration required. The lecture and accompanying programme (clothing repairs and equipment care demonstrations) take place on the 3rd floor of the store in historic lecture spaces. Other parts of the programme are free.

The store is located opposite the main entrance to Masaryk Station. 5 minutes walk from Náměstí Republiky; metro B (Náměstí Republiky), trams no. 8, 15, 26, 27, 29, 34 (Masarykovo nádraží), buses no. 905, 907, 908, 911.
