About the venue: Museum and Gallery of Orlické Mountains

The Museum and Gallery of the Orlické Mountains is a regional museum in Rychnov nad Kněžnou whose roots go back to the Pelcl museum association of the 1890s. Its main exhibition spaces occupy the second floor of the eastern wing of Kolowrat Castle. The museum holds over 70,000 collection items covering ethnography, archaeology, natural sciences and fine art. Since 2003 it has incorporated the Orlická Gallery, which documents Czech fine art related to the Orlické Mountains and Podorlicko region. The museum is administered by the Královéhradecký Region.
