Peace in Karlovy Vary — Mír Theatre, Ostrava

Peace in Karlovy Vary is a film and audiovisual pop-up by Divadlo Mír, taking place in Karlovy Vary at Drahomíra Cinema Gallery from July 3–11, 2026.

Throughout the event, every day from morning to evening, selected films and TV series versions from Divadlo Mír's production and the MírPlay VOD platform will be screened.

About the venue: Mír Theatre

Divadlo Mír is the youngest professional theatre in Ostrava, focusing primarily on drama and comedy. It was founded by actor Albert Čuba in 2016 and opened in March 2017. The theatre is located in the Vítkovice district, in a building from the early 1930s originally constructed as the Sokol cinema Bio Rekord and later converted into the Mír cinema. It has no permanent acting ensemble, instead inviting professional theatre artists from Ostrava and across the Czech Republic for each production.
