Open-air film screening in the picturesque courtyard of Votice Monastery. The programme features the new Czech comedy Holiday in Czech Paradise (Czech Republic 2026, 90 min.).

The marriage of Milan and Týna Svoboda has deteriorated into a series of misunderstandings over recent months — they argue about almost everything. A holiday seems like the right choice to save their relationship. But what if each of them has a different idea of what it should be?

About the venue: Votice Monastery

The former Franciscan monastery of St. Francis of Assisi in Votice is a Baroque monastic complex founded in 1627 by Count Sezima z Vrtby. Its current form dates from a major reconstruction in 1766–1771. After being seized by the communist secret police in 1950 and used for industrial purposes, the monastery was restored and reopened in 2015 as a cultural centre. Visitors can explore permanent exhibitions (Franciscan life, regional museum, pram and doll collection, Gallery of St. Francis), seasonal exhibitions, and cultural events.

About: Adam Mišík

Born 7 May 1997 in Prague, Adam Mišík is a Czech singer-songwriter and actor and the son of musician Vladimír Mišík. His solo career began in 2013 with the single Tvoje světy, which earned him the Objev roku award at the Český slavík poll and the Evropy 2 music awards. His artistic output blends pop, R&B and hip-hop, featuring consistent partnerships with producers and rappers including Ben Cristovao, Sergei Barracuda and Sofian Medjmedj. He also pursues acting work and provides voice acting for Czech versions of Hollywood films.

About: Saša Rašilov

Saša Rašilov was born on 26 July 1972 into an artistic family: his grandfather Saša Rašilov senior was a renowned comedian, his father worked as a cinematographer, and his brother Václav Rašilov is also an actor. He trained at the Prague Conservatory and DAMU between 1990 and 1994, followed by engagements at Divadlo Komedie and Boris Hybner's Studio GAG. From 2002 to 2024, he was a permanent member of the National Theatre Prague's Drama Ensemble, performing roles including the title character in Gogol's Inspector General and Christian in Cyrano de Bergerac. Beyond the stage, he works in film and television, provides voice acting for foreign performers, and received the Thália Award for outstanding male dramatic performance in 2022.
