About the venue: Masaryk Theatre

Masarykovo divadlo on Husova Street is the largest cultural venue in Jičín. The building was constructed in 1894 as a Sokol gymnasium and converted in 1926 by architect Č. Musil into a theatre with a revolving stage - it was named after President Masaryk, who visited in 1921. The main hall seats up to 580 people and hosts theatre subscription series, concerts, balls and dance competitions. The puppet theatre Srdíčko also has its home here. The venue is run by the city-funded organisation KZMJ.

Czech singer-songwriter Luciana Krecarová, performing under the stage name Anna K., has been active in the pop-rock scene since 1993. Her breakthrough came with the 1999 album Nebe, which earned her two Anděl Awards including Female Singer of the Year. She has received five Anděl Awards throughout her career; her most recent studio album Údolí včel was released in 2023.
