VERNISSAGE | Alchemy | Art School Exhibition

The art department of Frýdek-Místek Basic Art School presents an exhibition titled Alchemy, inviting visitors to explore the alchemy of the art laboratory. Matter, light, and sound intertwine with personal experience and imagination – each experiment opens new possibilities for knowledge and experience, and each sense becomes an instrument for transforming human perception. The exhibition's motto is a quote by C. G. Jung: "Alchemy is an image of the process of inner transformation of man, his path from unconsciousness to consciousness." The vernissage takes place on May 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM in Gallery FM (building of the former Savings Bank, Palackého 133, Místek, entrance from Hlavní Street). The exhibition can be visited from May 14 to June 23, 2026 during Gallery FM opening hours: Tuesday–Friday 3:00 PM–6:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. Guided tours for schools and children's groups are available on weekday mornings from Tuesday to Thursday – advance booking required. The exhibition is part of the Open ZUŠ project, which takes place on May 28, 2026. Frýdek-Místek Art School teaches preparation for secondary and tertiary art education, drawing, painting and sculpture studies, art history, ceramics, graphics, animation, and more.
