The Gala Evening of the Zuška?Zuška! & ZUŠ Open Festival: Living Through Art is the grand finale of the largest festival of young talent in the Zlín region. At the Zlín Congress Centre from 19:00 to 20:30, students from 27 basic art schools across the region will perform in a closing programme featuring a percussion show, guitar orchestra, string orchestra, performances by cimbalom ensembles, folk and dance groups, and short theatrical pieces. The programme will unite students and teachers from several schools in unique artistic projects developed throughout the year. The evening will also include a meeting with former ZUŠ graduates who are now prominent artists — such as Šimon Ludvíček (DAMU student) and actors from the Zlín Municipal Theatre Radoslav Šopík and Marie Vančurová. The festival takes place as part of the 10th jubilee edition of the nationwide ZUŠ Open festival under the patronage of the Magdalena Kožená Foundation. The full-day festival programme (from 14:00) also includes performances in Míru Square and other locations in the city — entry to the outdoor part is free, admission to the Gala Evening at the Congress Centre requires a ticket (advance booking at kulturazlin.cz).
