In 2026, the National Gallery Prague commemorates 230 years since the founding of its predecessor, the Society of Patriotic Friends of Art. A selection of 17 archival photographs presents milestones in its 230-year history of presenting artistic collections.

About the venue: National Gallery

Veletržní palác is a landmark functionalist building from 1928 that houses the National Gallery Prague's collection of modern and contemporary art spanning the 19th to 21st centuries. Works by Picasso, Klimt and Alfons Mucha are among the highlights. The building itself ranks as one of the finest examples of functionalist architecture in Central Europe.
