Ek Balam Ensemble is an international project of musicians living in various European countries. The band combines flamenco roots with gitano/sinti jazz and French instrumental aesthetics from the 1940s and 1950s. Line-up (international version): Ek Balam – guitar, Stupiggia – guitar, Kuzmanović – double bass, Cahlík – double bass, Emmer – guitar, Lukic – electric guitar.

Duo Ryba – Marušák performs under the project name Jazzy Fish Tales. Pavel J. Ryba (bass guitar) and Zdeněk Marušák (tenor and soprano saxophone) play together with PC Mr. Fish, which enters into live interaction with the musicians in their show. Pavel J. Ryba has performed on stages such as The Knitting Factory in New York, Blues Alley in Washington DC, and Birmingham Symphony Hall, and has shared the stage with Mike Stern, Dean Brown, Erik Truffaz, and Bryan Corbett, among others.

Zdeněk Marušák worked in the military art ensemble Ondráš in Brno, regularly guests in cimbalom orchestras, and collaborated with cimbalom player Zuzana Lapčíková. He is a graduate of the folk conservatory in Ostrava, conductor and artistic director of F dur Jazzband, member of the Prestige Symphony Orchestra, and guests with the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic. He also collaborates with Italian conductor Walter Attanasi on projects combining classical music and jazz.
