Nana Rashid (DK/OM)

Nana Rashid is a Danish-Zanzibari-Omani jazz vocalist whose music explores human beauty, complexity, and vulnerability. Her distinctive voice carries stories – sometimes melancholic, sometimes tinged with blues, always with a poetic sense of detail.

Her debut album Music for Betty received critical acclaim, and in 2023 she won the Best New Jazz Artist award at the Danish Music Awards. Her forthcoming album New Ways to Pray is produced by Larry Klein (who has worked with Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock, and Melody Gardot), pushing her work into a more spiritual space.
