Fifty-year-old Olga lives in a meticulously kept apartment in the heart of Mexico City, and apart from noisy neighbours, she has everything firmly under control – until circumstances force her to rent out a spare room. Her new flatmate doesn't come alone: he secretly brings his nine-year-old son Cristian with him.

Olga initially reacts to the presence of the small intruder with reluctance, but gradually finds her way to the boy – perhaps thanks to their shared passion for arcade games.

This unassuming festival gem by director Fernando Eimbcke reminds us that even the most unlikely encounters can transform our lives.
