Description was written before the event

A ceremonial ringing of the Augustin Bell in the White Tower marks the feast of Saint Augustine. This traditional ceremony takes place in the historic tower in Hradec Králové.

About the venue: White Tower

Renaissance bell tower on the Great Square in Hradec Králové, built from Hořice sandstone between 1574 and 1581. At 72 metres it is the tallest landmark in the city. It houses the Augustin bell – the third largest historic bell in the Czech Republic – and Josef Božek's 1829 clock mechanism. Following a reconstruction in 2013–2015, the tower features an interactive audio-visual exhibition and panoramic views of the Krkonoše and Orlické hory mountains.
