Description was written before the event
Ángela and Héctor are expecting their first child. Ángela is deaf, and doctors cannot predict whether the child will hear. Together they try to prepare for parenthood and an uncertain future, but the birth itself reveals the barriers Ángela must face.
The arrival of their child puts their relationship to the test, and she experiences what it is like to raise a child in an environment where she herself is not always fully accepted.
Award-winning debut director Eva Libertad's film explores not only the complex relationship between the hearing and deaf worlds, but above all the challenges of motherhood. The director entrusted the lead role to her sister, whose perspective as a deaf character is conveyed through sound design.
