Nos Dames – French Songs and Chansons

The Nos Dames trio will perform on 4 June 2026 at Slezská plovárna in Hradec Králové.

Founded in 2012, the trio combines classic French chansons — Édith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel, Yves Montand — with contemporary Francophone works by artists such as Zaz, Wende Snijders, and Stromae. The concert includes spoken commentary introducing the composers, performers, and meaning of the songs.

The trio members are Martina Forejtková (vocals and piano), David Jandl (vocals and commentary), and Miriam Otčenášková (violin). Martina Forejtková teaches music education and French at a language gymnasium in Hradec Králové; Miriam Otčenášková is a violinist with the Hradec Králové Philharmonic.

Martina Forejtková and David Jandl are multiple winners of Francophone song competitions (Ostrava, Budapest, Banská Bystrica, Moldova). In 2022, the trio won the Grand Prix award in Moldova.
