Eighteen-year-old Marina sets out with her mother's diary in hand to the western coast of Spain—to the places where her parents once fell in love, people she never had the chance to know. Surrounded by a sea of unknown relatives, secrets begin to emerge, and from fragmented, often contradictory memories, an unexpected portrait of her parents' fateful and destructive love takes shape.
