Fragile Mikulov 2026 - Moravian Art Design Festival

Fragile Mikulov is a collectible design festival organized by the Regional Museum in Mikulov in collaboration with the Fragile brand. In 2026, the 14th edition takes place from 29 to 31 May in the Mikulov Castle and other galleries throughout the city. This year's theme is Garden. The heart of the festival will be the main installation in the Gajdoš Hall, where ceramicists Milan Pekař and Tereza Sluková enter into dialogue with glassmaker Johan Pertl under the curatorial direction of Jana Zielinski and Denisa Anna Šedivá. In the castle chapel, Pitt Brandenburger will present his work. The Stucco Hall will feature the exhibition "Solitary Stars" from the Plzeň ceramic studio of Gabriela Vacha. The programme opens on Friday 29 May with a sound performance "Studánečka" by artist Barbora Sára, followed by an opening reception with guided tour and a traditional disco in the courtyard. Saturday's programme offers Artist Talks with the artists of the main exhibition, designer presentations in Sala Terrena, and workshops. The festival is complemented by student exhibitions from ceramic and porcelain studios in Plzeň, Ústí nad Labem, Prague, and Bratislava, a collector's edition, and family activities such as a pétanque tournament. Part of the exhibitions will remain accessible until 7 June 2026. Admission to exhibitions and accompanying programmes is free, except for workshops. Workshop tickets can be purchased at goout.net.
