VILA live: Lunatraktors

Carli Jefferson, known in the Czech Republic for her tap dance and body-percussion-inspired choreography, returns to Prague with her own project Lunatraktors – an experimental duo moving at the intersection of "broken folk".

Lunatraktors transform Anglo-Celtic traditional music using contemporary rhythms and bass lines. Carli's eclectic percussive expression and body drumming intertwine with analog synthesizers, whistles, and overtone singing by her partner Clair Le Couteur.

The duo builds on vocal harmonies and deep polyrhythms, drawing influences from flamenco through trip hop to cabaret.
