Ray Charles (1930–2004) was an American singer, pianist, and composer who blended soul, rhythm and blues, jazz, and gospel into a uniquely personal style. Widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, his iconic songs include "Hit the Road Jack" and "Georgia on My Mind".

About the venue: Reduta Jazz Club

Reduta Jazz Club is the oldest jazz club in Prague, opened in 1957 on Národní street near the National Theatre. It gained worldwide fame when U.S. President Bill Clinton played saxophone here during a jam session in 1994. The programme features jazz, swing, Dixieland, blues, funk, soul and big band shows; the club has repeatedly been named among the Top 10 jazz clubs in Europe by The Guardian.
