Description was written before the event
Blázinec by Jaroslav Gillar is a grotesque about a world in which the inmates of a psychiatric institution seize power. The play is built on unexpected twists and mad situations reminiscent of silent film, with performances at times reaching the poetics of absurdist theatre.
The production draws, among other things, from the motifs of E. A. Poe — suggestive scenes of fear and horror are interwoven with typical Poe-like humour.
