Pneu
Four bodies and hundreds of kilograms of tyres intertwine in a physically demanding performance that explores the relationship between people and their environment. An unpredictable heap of tyres dominates the scenography and determines human action – gradually transforming into a living and dynamic architecture. PNEU is a performance where chaos becomes structure and imbalance becomes a driving force.
Viktor Černický balances on the edge of contemporary circus, dance and visual art. It is a scenic essay about effort, exhaustion and recovery, about physical and mental endurance, and about the desire to maintain lightness even when everything is collapsing.
Viktor Černický won the Main Prize and Audience Award at the Czech Dance Platform 2019, his work was included in the Aerowaves Twenty20 selection, he was nominated for the Theatre Newspaper Award and at ČTP 2017 for the Dancer of the Year award.
