We Are Earth

The exhibition We Are Earth by internationally acclaimed visual artist Radoslava Boor is a non-commercial project created in response to the massive Amazon rainforest fire in 2019. A series of eighteen stylized photographic portraits, created using bodypainting technique, reflects urgent ecological themes — from climate change through air and water pollution to the ethical dimensions of industrial farming and the impact of armed conflicts on global ecosystems. The new series of portraits was created in February and March 2026 directly at the Theatre under Palmovka with members of the theatre's acting ensemble, photographers Kiril Todorov and Bohuš Pospíšil, and hairdressers Pavel Kaleta and Rositso Milkova. The project has already been shown in four solo exhibitions in its native Sofia, at the National Agricultural Museum in Prague, at the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels, and at the International Festival of Visual Arts in Thessaloniki. The portraits from the We Are Earth series have won prestigious international awards, including the Gold Prize of the Poster Stellars competition in New Jersey (2024). The exhibition is on view from April 13 to May 31, 2026 in the foyer of the Theatre under Palmovka and is accessible one hour before and during performances in the Main Hall. The opening ceremony took place symbolically on Earth Day, April 22, 2026 at 6 p.m. The exhibitions are for sale.
