MDK Band, Melamed Klezmer Band

An evening of ska, folk, and klezmer music with two bands.

MDK Band (Young Dynamic Collective) is a Czech band that has been playing Ukrainian folk melodies in its own, predominantly ska arrangements for over twenty years.

Melamed Klezmer Band was born from a meeting of an accordion teacher, a woman with a forgotten clarinet in the closet, and a guitarist with cards in his pocket. The result is a band that plays both joyful and touching Jewish melodies.
