Adam Tvrdý - Birthday Concert

Guitarist and composer Adam Tvrdý celebrates his birthday with a concert at Jazz Dock. He will be joined on stage by musical friends – respected soloists and longtime collaborators – to present a survey of Adam's work, reinterpretations of standards, and new arrangements.

Tvrdý is known for his expressive multi-genre approach, in which he pursues his own creative vision while respecting the traditions of a given musical style. In childhood he was influenced by blues and classic rock – particularly guitarists Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, and Eric Clapton. Later he discovered the music of Miles Davis and focused on jazz inspired by Pat Metheny, George Benson, Wes Montgomery, John Scofield, and others.

His own work can be described as contemporary modern jazz or fusion, with distinct elements of blues, classic rock, modern and classical jazz, Latin music, and classical music.
