The Písek State Stud Farm, designated a national cultural monument in 2010, holds two traditional breeding horse exhibitions open to the public in spring 2026. The first exhibition (Breeding Horse Exhibition I) takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, and the second (Breeding Horse Exhibition II) on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Admission to the exhibitions is free. The programme begins at 11:00 with a presentation of stallions of various warm-blooded and cold-blooded breeds on the halter — in addition to horses owned by the stud farm, stallions from private breeders and rare breeds such as ponies, Haflingers, Huculs, and Irish Cobs will be shown. At 13:00, the second part begins with a demonstration of stallions under saddle on a shortened jumping course. A refreshment stand and souvenir shop will be available. Visitors can view the original stables and an exhibition on the history of the stud farm. Guided tours of the historic complex with a guide start at 14:00 at the ticket office in the main building and are charged (150 CZK adults, 75 CZK children/students/seniors/disabled, children under 6 free, family ticket 375 CZK). Groups of 10 or more can book a separate tour with at least 3 days' notice. Spring is also the season when the stud farm begins its new breeding season — in 2026, 19 stallions are included for artificial insemination and 24 stallions participate in natural breeding. The historic complex, built in 1902, is constructed in Tudor style from brick with Art Nouveau details and houses approximately 60 horses.
