Ida the Young + Cermaque

Ida the Young and Cermaque will perform on May 30 at Prostor I4I5 in Strakonice.

Ida the Young is an indie folk band from Plzeň. The band features Iris Hobson-Mazur (vocals), Marek Koliha (guitar), Filip Simon (drums), Jakub Richtárech (keyboards, bass) and Pavel Kielberger (guitar, bass). Their music combines "intimate, straightforward vocals and captivating lyrics with colourful instrumentation, unafraid to blend genres". They have released their debut EP Strange Shaped Flowers (2023) and second EP Silver Thing (2024), which moves in a more electronic direction. With their song Mr. Pie, they reached the final of Radio Wave Starter 2024 and also performed at the Slovak showcase festival Sharpe.

Cermaque trio – Jakub Čermák, known as Cermaque, brings his new album Společný jmenovatel (Common Denominator) with Martin Barinec (drums, guitar) and Julia Goetzová (viola). The band received 2 nominations for the Anděl Award in the Folk and Alternative categories and the Award for Beauty of Words from Radio Proglas.
