Michaela Jonczy & Karel Bárta

A duo of experienced musicians performing a programme built on Michaela Jonczy's original compositions — acoustic chamber pop with poetic Czech lyrics. Alongside their own songs, they will perform distinctive arrangements of beloved Czech and international singer-songwriters, including Sting, Seal, Annie Lennox, and David Stypka.

Michaela Jonczy is a singer and songwriter. She graduated from the Plzeň Conservatory and the Complete Vocal Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark. In autumn 2024, she released her debut album "Zůstaň stejná". She sings and contributes as a songwriter to the multi-genre performance ObnaŽENA by acrobat Iva Kolcun, is a soloist with the Maranatha Gospel Choir and Magnum Jazz Bigband, and performs in the musical Lazarus by David Bowie (Divadlo Komedie). As a vocalist, she collaborates with American singer Tonya Graves.

Karel Bárta has been active on the Prague professional music scene for over 25 years. During that time, he has performed with numerous bands and projects; he currently plays with the Maranatha Gospel Choir, Tonya Graves, and Marie Němcová.
