Exhibition Anatomy of Time – Patrik Hábl
Ethera gallery, Prague
The exhibition Anatomy of Time presents a selection of works by Patrik Hábl, in which time functions as an organizing principle of painting. The image does not emerge as a predetermined composition, but as the result of a gradual process – layering, correction, and transformation of material. Hábl approaches the canvas as a site of concentrated activity: individual gestures accumulate and enter into mutual relationships, creating tension between density and light, between concealment and revelation. Each work is the result of continuous engagement, in which form stabilizes through time. Painting here is not an illustration of duration, but its concrete manifestation. The structure of the image bears traces of its own creation and organizes them into a visual whole that is both physical and condensed. The exhibition explores how time is inscribed into the very construction of the image – as energy that shapes material and determines its final form.
The opening took place on April 9, 2026; the exhibition runs until May 31, 2026. In addition to exhibitions, Ethera gallery also offers concerts, workshops, and panel discussions, and the gallery includes an Artshop with original works, limited prints, and objects.
