I Care for Myself – Open Air Exhibition
Národní dům, Frýdek-Místek
An open air exhibition by illustrator and graphic designer Kateřina Janků presents thematic cards created as part of research activities at the Faculty of Education, Palacký University in Olomouc. The cards are part of the "I Care for Myself" project, dedicated to mental health, wellbeing, safety, creativity, and self-knowledge. The exhibition opening is accompanied by a workshop led by doc. Mgr. Petra Šobáňová, Ph.D., focusing on the practical use of the thematic cards. Visitors are invited to reflect on their current inner state and select a card that best expresses it – using the emotion cards, you can create a landscape of your emotions, explore the psychological impact of colours, and use visual metaphor and projection. The thematic cards feature motifs related to fundamental mental health topics, with illustrations employing subtle colour palettes, symbolism, and visual openness that supports safe emotional processing and deeper inner dialogue. The exhibition is located on the Palouk – a freely accessible public space in front of the former Savings Bank building, Palackého 133, entrance from Hlavní Street. The exhibition runs until 30 June 2026. More information at www.pecujiosebe.com.
