Farmers' Market at Jiřák 2026

The Jiřák farmers' market has launched regular weekly operations on Wednesday, 18 March 2026 and will run through the end of the year. The market takes place in the heart of Náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad in Prague 3, relocated to its original location in front of the school on Slavíkova Street as part of the square's revitalization. Open Wednesday to Friday 8 a.m.–6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Visitors will find local farmers and smallholders offering fresh vegetables and fruit, meat, cured meats, fish, baked goods, dairy products, cheeses, honey, herbs, spices, teas, eggs, syrups, beverages, jams, flowers, seedlings, and handcrafted items. The market emphasizes ecology — since spring 2019, plastic bags and disposable cups are not used; instead, eco-friendly bags made from corn starch are available. Throughout the year, themed events are held at Jiřák, such as traditional Easter, slaughter-day, and Christmas markets. A special event is planned for September 2026 (11–12 September 2026). The market is open to all interested visitors, not just residents of Vinohrady and Žižkov.
