Cyklohráček 2026 – An Extraordinary Excursion Train from Prague to Okoř and Slané

The Cyklohráček excursion train enters its thirteenth season, running on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 21 March to 1 November 2026. The train consists of four specially adapted cars: an orange car full of toys (low-floor, suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs) with a wooden train track, building sets, and a children's play area in the driver's cabin; a pink car full of balloons with a slide and foam building blocks; a blue car full of games with a drawing board, drawing tables, and a small library; and a turquoise car full of bicycles for cyclists with a compressor, repair kit, and basic tools – this car also houses a ČD Minibar with refreshments.

Passengers are looked after by play conductors who lend games to children, hand out small gifts and reflective armbands for cyclists. Every visitor receives a map of the surrounding area with hiking trails. The route runs through Pražský Semmering, Jinonice, Cibulka, Zličín, Hostivice, past Okoř Castle, and through Zákolan Valley.

Due to reconstruction of Smíchovské station, the morning train departs from Prague Main Station (at 08:52), the midday service starts and ends at Praha-Smíchov (departures at 09:06 and 13:16). Return trains from Slané depart at 11:02 and 17:00. On selected Saturdays (29 April, 27 May, 24 June, 29 July, 26 August, 30 September, and 28 October), Cyklohráček runs all the way to Zlonice, where there is a railway museum.

Fares are standard PID or ČD tariffs with no surcharge. Reservations are recommended only for groups of 10 or more people (email: cyklohracek@ropid.cz). Cyklohráček passengers receive a discount card from the play conductor – a child's ticket free with an adult at the Vlastivědné Museum in Slané (valid from 21 March to 31 October 2026).
