Cyril Kaplan & Xadrex | Album Release + Lichnovský

The last Friday of May at Kampus Hybernská brings two performances: the release concert for Cyril Kaplan's solo album and a concert by the Lichnovský project.

Lichnovský

Zdeněk Lichnovský – musician, member of the community label Bad Names and Radio 1 – will perform songs from this year's album "Pustim Mitski a zavřu se doma" and his debut "Ideálně napořád". On stage he will be accompanied by regular guests Lenka Zbořilová (pivoňka / ivy z) and Michal Zlatkovský (Ministry of Pop, Aging Millennials).

The debut album "Ideálně napořád" (2024) was created in co-production with Martin Nouza (nevertouch) and builds on an electronic club sound. This year's "Pustim Mitski a zavřu se doma" instead draws on Cyril Kaplan's home piano, guitars, bass guitar and drums.

Cyril Kaplan (Vložte kočku, Mutanti hledaj východisko) will present his album of drum miniatures "This Is My Space" live for the first time since its February release – a recording created as a soundtrack to the film Principado and featuring exclusively a drum kit. He will then expand the set with vocals and electronics and perform tracks from the older EP "This Is What Dancefl00r I5 4", which moves between post-disco, indie rock and contemporary electronics.

The evening will also include a mini-set by the Xadrex project, in which Kaplan is joined by vocalist, lutenist and percussionist Husam Abed. One or two songs from the Vložte kočku repertoire will also be performed.
