Máme vybráno – Public Collections Competition

Máme vybráno is a nationwide competition for public heritage restoration funds, organized annually by the Institut pro památky a kulturu, o.p.s. In 2026, voting takes place on a record 357 sites – collections seeking financial support to save churches, chapels, mills, castles, organs, bells, and other cultural objects across the Czech Republic. The competition runs in two rounds of online voting: in the first round, the public votes on collections from all regions, and from each region the collection with the most votes advances to the final. Winning collections receive financial grants (over 1 million crowns distributed since the competition's inception) and media support from Propamátky magazine. The competition also includes the category Most Financially Successful Collection and the Propamátky Editorial Prize for creative presentation. The ceremonial announcement of results traditionally takes place in September at the Ministry of Culture in Prague. The project also includes the Obnovené dědictví (Renewed Heritage) conference held in central Prague. Anyone can vote for free on the website mamevybrano.cz.
