Sandro Curatolo is a songwriter, lyricist, music arranger, and singer-composer. In his youth, he studied under professors Francesco Rizza and Mariano D'Amelio, and alongside piano, he pursued guitar (rock and jazz). He performed as a singer and guitarist in various bands and clubs in Rome, where he began composing his own songs and worked at Folk Studio, a hub of the Roman singer-songwriter movement.
In 2000, he founded the band Pura Utopia with his brother Andrea, for which he composed and performed songs on two albums: Pura Utopia (Violi Piano Records) and Co.Co.Co (Cinico disincanto / Altipiani Records). The band was active until 2014 and was invited to open the Sanremo Off festival, the inaugural V-Day event, and actor Paolo Rossi's recital. The song "Quando parli cinese / Když mluvíš čínsky" was withdrawn from the second album (2011) shortly before release and became part of singer Paolo Belli's album (Giovani e Belli); both singers performed it together. The single Co.co.co was broadcast by Italian radio stations Radio Rock, Radio Città Futura, RadioRai1, Isoradio, and Rai International.
After moving to Prague, Curatolo continues his work as a musician, composer, and arranger. The musical project "Sette miliardi di parole / Seven Billion Words" continues the tradition of Italian singer-songwriter music. At the concert, he will be accompanied by Jana Holcová from Dejvické Theatre (recitation), Andrea Curatolo (guitar), Cristian Orrù (bass guitar), Sergey Voynov (drums), and Dario Lucarini (violin).
