The Orff Brothers

**Bratři Orffové perform only sporadically, yet public interest shows no sign of waning. More than a decade after the release of their album Šero, which won the Anděl Award and the Apollo Music Critics' Prize for Best Album of 2013, the band continues to find new listeners and their work resonates across generations.**

The band has been active since 2002. The name references the pioneers of Czechoslovak electronics, the Orm brothers, as well as the so-called Orff instruments. The current lineup features vocalist and guitarist Ivan Gajdoš, guitarist Lukáš Novotný, trumpeter Libor Martiník, drummer Petr Odstrčil, bassist Břetislav Koláček, and keyboardist and synthesizer player Zdeněk Henych.

Their debut Bingriwingri (2005) was hailed by the media as a landmark event in the Czech alternative scene. In 2023, the label Minority Records released both of the band's albums in remastered vinyl editions. In 2026, new compositions may also be forthcoming.
