Charley's Aunt

A famous cross-dressing comedy full of humor and exaggeration about how love can be motivated by the desire for wealth.

Students Jack and Charlie invite their beloved young ladies under the pretext of meeting an aunt from Brazil. When the aunt fails to appear, they have no choice but to dress up their friend Babberly as her, and the women's clothes fit him perfectly. Babberly, who has been playing an old lady in amateur theatre, soon begins to fully enjoy his role as substitute aunt after initial embarrassment — and in doing so attracts far too much attention, including romantic interest. When the real aunt finally arrives, it seems nothing can prevent disaster.
