5th Round of the 22nd Edition of Notování

Notování is a song competition for folk and related live music performers, built primarily around acoustic instruments. The 22nd edition runs in the 2025/2026 season at Prague's Kaštan – Scéna Unijazzu and consists of preliminary rounds and a final.

Each preliminary round follows the same format: several competing performers or bands present their songs, and the audience votes to determine the ranking. Every evening also features a performance by an invited guest — in previous rounds of the 22nd edition, these have included Rejka Marton Balcarová, Standa Haláček, the duo Michal Willie and Eva Sedláčkovi, and Krystyna Šmahelová and Míša Kalašová. The competition is judged by both the audience and the Notování Council.

Preliminary rounds take place approximately monthly from January 2026. The fifth preliminary round will be held on 14 May 2026 from 19:30, and the sixth on 4 June 2026. The season final traditionally hosts the winner of the previous edition as an honorary guest. Admission to the preliminary rounds is around 150–170 CZK.
