"Magic of Miyazaki. Voice of Japan" is a symphonic concert featuring the music of composer Joe Hisaishi from the films of director Hayao Miyazaki. A live chamber orchestra conducted by Japanese maestro Kotaro Kimura is joined by soprano Satoko Ota as soloist.

The programme includes iconic compositions from Studio Ghibli films: "Spirited Away", "My Neighbor Totoro", "Princess Mononoke", "Castle in the Sky", "Kiki's Delivery Service" and more. The evening is rounded out with selected melodies from Japanese musical culture.

Conductor – Kotaro Kimura (Japan)
Kimura launched his career in Fukuoka and currently serves as conductor of the National Opera and Ballet of Vietnam. He is a recipient of the Fukuoka Prefecture Cultural Contribution Award, author of "What is Maestro Kim's Music?" and creator of the YouTube channel "Conducting is Fun! Kimura Cantabile!".

Soprano – Satoko Ota (Japan)
Satoko Ota was born in Nagasaki and has devoted herself to music since childhood. She is a laureate of an international music competition in the Czech Republic and as a soloist has collaborated with orchestras in Japan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Vietnam and other countries. In Japan, she is also known as a musical theatre actress — appearing in productions of "The Sound of Music", "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Phantom of the Opera" — and regularly appears in television and film projects.
