A medieval musical love story infused with supernatural elements, created by composer and singer Jiří Černý and performed by the amateur ensemble Amadis from Loučeň.

In the heart of a medieval village, the knight Eran and young Mirana fall in love—though she is married to the mayor. Their fate is overshadowed by the castle Dùghall, while in the neighbouring domain, the evil Prince Stach plots a treacherous scheme to seize power and claim the throne.

Dùghall is a tale of forbidden love, the hunger for power, and fire burning not only in the heart, told through original lyrics and melodies by Jiří Černý.

About the venue: Vyšehrad

Vyšehrad is a historic fortress on a rocky promontory above the right bank of the Vltava, roughly 3 km southeast of Prague Castle. It originated as a princely stronghold in the second half of the 10th century, and in the late 11th century King Vratislav II - the only Czech ruler to do so - made it his seat. The complex was rebuilt as a Baroque military fortress in the 17th century and has been a national cultural monument since 1962. Highlights include the neo-Gothic Basilica of St Peter and Paul, the national cemetery Slavín, the Romanesque Rotunda of St Martin, and an extensive network of underground casemates.
