Souvrat

Originally a purely Czechoslovak, purist singer-songwriter band that once bought a proper epic guitar with wedding money and electrified themselves. At this performance they will play from their wooden album "Dva konce" (2020) as well as songs that return, secret, forgotten, persistent, theatrical, resuscitated — selected pieces from countless never-recorded compositions.

Because Souvrat took a break to Manhattan between 2022 and 2024, they will also present something from their American period: the album "New York Tapes", whose release is imminent and which, with the help of God and yours (Donio), will come out soon on the most beautiful medium in the world.

Petr Onufer

Frontman of the Žižkov band T.G.P. will perform with an acoustic guitar and with musical support from guitarist Tomáš Pácalt. He will sing his songs with English-language lyrics dealing with love, death, gin, summer walks through distant cities, the winter journey home, flooding in the center of Prague, or a ghost town in Texas.

As two reviewers put it, the songs in question "mix classic purely American rock singer-songwriter style with post-punk musical haze" and are found "somewhere on the border of country, wooden post-punk and good old big beat, in short as if Nick Cave had swapped Berlin for Prague 3 and Blixu for Jarda Švec".
