Bílá Hora in Prague – Hudba v chrámech Festival

The Hudba v chrámech festival presents in 2026 at the Church of Our Lady Victorious on Bílá Hora a series of three chamber concerts for solo violin and harpsichord. The church, a national cultural monument since 2018, is located in Prague 17 – Řepích, on the terminal of trams 22, 25, and 32. The principal performer is violinist Marie Magdalena Fuxová, who entered the Benedictine monastery Venio Munich/Prague in 2016.

16 May 2026 (Saturday), 16:20 – "Crossroads of Sound: Dialogue of Centuries and Cultures"
Recital for solo violin featuring works by Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber (Rosary Sonata No. 16 – Passacaglia – Guardian Angel), Grażyna Bacewicz (Polish Caprice), Ondřej Kukala (Late Hour), Igor Loboda (Requiem), and Sergei Prokofiev (Sonata for Solo Violin, for the 135th anniversary of his birth). Performed by Marie Magdalena Fuxová (violin).

1 July 2026 (Wednesday), 19:00 – František Benda: Capriccio for Solo Violin

15 August 2026 (Saturday), 16:20 – "Heavenly Birds"
Baroque compositions inspired by bird motifs by Biber, Fontana, Schmelzer, Couperin, Matteis, Daquin, and Walther. Performed by Marie Magdalena Fuxová (violin) and Helene Lerch (harpsichord).
