ARAS Screening: Nobody Against Putin + Discussion with Radovan Síbrt

Pavel "Paša" Talankin is a teacher at a Russian primary school who loves small-town life and shabby apartment blocks. War turns his everyday existence upside down – as an employee of an educational institution, he becomes part of a propaganda apparatus that engulfs the entire society.

One of his tasks is to document events with a camera in hand. However, Paša interprets this instruction in his own way and records events as they actually happen, not as the military regime would wish them to be portrayed. When he realizes he is attracting too much attention, he smuggles the material out of Russia.

Danish documentarian David Borenstein made a film based on his footage. The screening at Edison Filmhub is accompanied by a discussion with Radovan Síbrt.
