Khamoro: Reinhardt Sinti Jazz Ensemble

As part of the Khamoro festival, two gypsy jazz ensembles will perform at Jazz Dock: Reinhardt Sinti Jazz Ensemble and Basily Gipsy Band & Marius Preda, who add cimbalom to their guitars. This year's edition marks 116 years since the birth of Django Reinhardt, the founder of this genre.

Reinhardt Sinti Jazz Ensemble hails from Germany, and its members are direct descendants of the Reinhardt musical dynasty. The ensemble's leader, guitarist Taylor Reinhardt, has collaborated with musicians such as Stochelo Rosenberg, Biréli Lagrène, and Jimmy Rosenberg. The ensemble's repertoire features gypsy jazz alongside Latin swing, bossa nova, and traditional Sinti music.
