The Wizard of the Kremlin
Kino Atlas, Prague
Russia in the early 1990s. The Soviet Union has collapsed, and from its ruins a new world emerges—chaotic, ruthless, and without scruples. Vadim Baranov (Paul Dano), a sharp young man from the world of art and television entertainment, unexpectedly finds himself at the very center of power. He becomes the unofficial advisor and architect of the public image of an inconspicuous man from the secret services—Vladimir Putin (Jude Law).
Baranov commands words, images, and illusions. Behind the Kremlin walls, he creates stories that shape the new Russian reality—teaching Vladimir how to speak to people, how to replace truth with manipulation, and how to turn belief into a tool of control. The only person he cannot control is Ksenia (Alicia Vikander).
After fifteen years of silence, Baranov speaks. His testimony reveals the inner workings of the regime he helped build—the dark corridors of a political system where every word serves a purpose and no version of reality is final.
