Divadlo Líšeň – Sávitrí

This production by Divadlo Líšeň draws on an ancient Indian myth from the Mahabharata, telling the story of love and the power of Princess Sávitrí, who frees her husband from the clutches of death. Colourful moving shadows projected onto a large screen accompany a narrator-musician playing handcrafted unconventional sound instruments. The production is inspired by Oriental theatre.

Since its creation, the performance has been presented at festivals throughout the Czech Republic and abroad – it has been shown in Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, and Slovakia.
