This moral and legal drama by Romanian director Cristian Mungiu won the Palme d'Or at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. It tells the story of a young family whose quiet life in a remote Norwegian village is shattered by an unexpected accusation from the child protection authority - traditional family values clash with a strict system.

Mungiu creates an analytically precise portrait of a society where everyone has their own truth.
