Liberecká epopej - Permanent Exhibition until 29.11.2026
Liberecká epopej is a monumental exhibition of paintings - ten large-format canvases, hundreds of stories, thousands of details. The works of the Procesists were created through live painting improvisation by multiple artists simultaneously, with public participation, and together with music, architecture, light and atmosphere evoke a world reminiscent of modern Alice in Wonderland.
It is not merely a painting exhibition - Liberecká epopej engages the entire space and invites viewers to spend hours discovering hidden narratives. In the paintings one can search for concealed stories, exaggeration, humour and unexpected connections. The entire exhibition is accompanied by music by Slovak musician Maok, created specifically for Liberecká epopej.
The exhibition emerged as the culmination of seven years of effort by painters Václav Kovář and Adam Windsor, who single-handedly and without grants or subsidies transformed their former studio into an author's gallery. A visit includes a guided tour directly from one of the artists, which leads not only through the paintings but also through the story of their creation - a seven-year journey full of improvisation, experimentation, hardship and stepping out of one's comfort zone.
You can enjoy coffee or wine while viewing and select artisan and glassware gifts in the shop. Regular opening without reservation requirements continues until 29 November 2026.
