Aleš Hrdlička: Orbiting Zero

Orbiting Zero merges contemporary circus, object theatre, and new magic into a new circus interpretation of magical realism. This solo performance blurs the boundaries between realities through elements of new magic and explores the physical (im)possibilities of plastic juggling rings. Orbiting Zero unfolds like an infinite spiral orbiting the theme of creation.

Both performer and audience are drawn into a visual universe that deconstructs the circle as a shape and juggling as an art form. Aleš invites spectators to glimpse the world behind closed doors - the workshop where he realizes ideas and seeks connections between expectation and reality. Each invention offers a new dialogue between the artist's intention and the intuition of the material, captured in an endless loop of absurd situations.

The performance is suitable from age 8 onwards.
