Mucha Foundation Art Museum: Language of Flowers

Throughout the weekend, the museum hosts the exhibition "Language of Flowers", showcasing contemporary Japanese ikebana art from the Sogetsu school. The project's central figure is Japanese master Hieda Shigyoku, who travels to Prague with her students - in addition to the exhibition, they will demonstrate ikebana through live performances.

The project merges Japanese aesthetics with Czech art, glasswork, and local plant materials. Special glass vases were created for the displayed compositions in collaboration with Czech glassmaker Ondřej Novotný, and some arrangements feature his signature Pastello collection.

The exhibition takes place on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Sogetsu school's founding and coincides with the 30th anniversary of Prague and Kyoto's partnership.
