The Black community in Austria continues to face prejudice, exoticizing stereotypes, and unwanted attention. Mwita Mataro, whose family comes from Tanzania, was born in Salzburg and now lives in Vienna, where he works as an artist and singer for the indie-rock band At Pavillon.

In his documentary film, he travels across Austria, speaking with Black experts and specialists in politics, media, and psychology. Together they seek answers to questions of identity and belonging.

Diary entries, staged scenes, and animations from a fictional world that Mataro creates with six children interweave into a personal testimony about what it means to be constantly reduced by others to the color of one's skin.
